Cheryl Y. Forrest is the co-author of Roman Jasinski: A Gypsy Prince from the Ballet Russe. She is a former dancer with what is now Tulsa Ballet, and is also a recipient of the Governor’s Award for the Arts in the State of Oklahoma. Cheryl grew up in Tulsa and lived in Virginia and New York before returning to Oklahoma.
The Girl on the Belvedere is a “coming of age” memoir—for someone in her sixties. Cheryl lives in Tulsa with her husband John and pet poodle, Truffle. She enjoys French class, walking along the river with her best friend and yoga (when she makes it to class). She is the proud mother of two, grandmother of two and an admirer of her lovely daughter-in-law. She serves as Chief Historian and Archivist for Tulsa Ballet.
